Here are the highlights of this incredible year:

GLOBAL RECOGNITION: We were honored with Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice “Best of the Best” Award once again, ranking as the #1 museum in Tel Aviv and among the top global tourist attractions.

ENGAGING VISITORS: Despite a decline in foreign tourism due to the war, we welcomed diverse groups, including displaced Israeli evacuees, global volunteers, and U.S. Evangelical Christians, who left inspired by Joseph Bau’s story.

EXPANDING ACCESSIBILITY: We published “Dear God, Have You Ever Gone Hungry?” in Arabic and Russian through our father’s own publishing house, Ha’Me’na’a’ne’a’, making it available in four languages.

FILM AMD MEMOIR RELEASES: The feature film “Bau, Artist at War” by Sean McNamara is set to premiere in early 2025. Joseph Bau’s memoir has been re-released by Blackstone Publishing with an exciting new foreword.

EXPANDING REACH: The Joseph Bau Traveling Exhibition was showcased in Florida and listed on the Council of American Jewish Museums website.

SHARING THE LEGACY: We engaged audiences through live presentations, podcasts, media interviews, and webinars, sharing Joseph and Rebecca Bau’s extraordinary story of resilience and creativity.

EDUCATIONAL IMPACT: Students at the University of Haifa studied Joseph Bau’s typography, creating art inspired by his work. We were honored to speak at their seminar.

DIGITAL GROWTH: Our Facebook page grew to 4,100 followers, we launched an updated website with a virtual tour, and we added videos to our YouTube channel.

A CRITICAL NEED: The planned demolition of our current location at 9 Berdichevsky Street means we must relocate to continue preserving Joseph Bau’s legacy. Partnering with Gallagher and Associates, we are raising $100,000 to fund a feasibility study for the museum’s new permanent home.

We are deeply grateful for your support this year and invite you to join us in honoring Joseph Bau’s story. To learn more about our efforts and contribute to our fundraising campaign, visit https://www.josephbau.org/en/donations.
